Any person entering Lebanon must hold a passport which is valid 
for a period of at least 6 months. 

Effective May 3, 1997, nationals of certain countries can obtain 
a Tourist/Business visa DIRECTLY UPON ARRIVAL at the Beirut 
International Airport or any other port of entry at the Lebanese 
border. 

The countries are as follows: Australia, Italy, Austria, Japan, 
Norway, Belgium, Luxembourg, Canada, Denmark, Portugal, Finland, 
South Korea, France, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Greece, Switzerland, 
Holland, United Kingdom (England), Ireland, United States of America. 

IMPORTANT: Visitors should make sure that their passports do not 
have ANY mention of Israel on them, e.g. visas (used or unused), 
otherwise they will be denied entry into Lebanon. (EXCEPTION: If 
passport is stamped "Valid for Israel", holder is allowed to 
enter Lebanon). 

Nationals of other countries should contact the Lebanese Consulate 
General closest to their residence.
